New Addition
Missoula, Montana
The project required two additional classrooms to enhance the schools existing facility and offer new educational programs. Another requirement was to design the project efficiently enough so this private school could raise 100% of the funds required to build. The project consists of a new freestanding art building and another building with two new classrooms. Additionally the project includes a new parking lot and parent drop-off area, play ground, courtyard to connect the existing buildings and extensive landscaping. The designs of the buildings sit in juxtaposition to the existing historic forms, which presently dominate the campus. The vanishing facades and textures highlight as well as welcome their new form into this vernacular.
This project was completed in the fall of 2002
Renovation/Addition
503 Edith Street
We are currently working with the Missoula Catholic Schools on both their Elementary School and High School Projects. Although the former Roosevelt School had been used for a number of years by the Catholic Schools for their elementary school needs, until the recent purchase of the property was it feasible to tackle the renovation of the building and delve into the idea of adding on to the building to enable future growth.
The schools needs include updating and renovating the existing spaces, adding specialty rooms (Art Room, Music Room, Learning Center, and Library), a new cafeteria and kitchen, and a chapel. Also important to this project is a new administration area near the main school entry.
This project is currently in the Design and Fund-Raising Stage.
Addition & Renovation
This multiphase project at the existing Hellgate Elementary School District Campus includes classroom additions to multiple buildings, a new Administration Building and improved site design work. The 3 separate school buildings were designed to accommodate different grade appropriate classroom needs. Each building needed not only additional space for the growing enrollment at the district, but renovations to meet current building codes. In addition, the site was in need of additional parking, improved traffic flow for safety of the students and staff, and better configuration of playground and athletic field space. The timing of different elements of the construction is critical for keeping the project on-budget and on-time with emphasis on the safety of everyone on campus. Careful consideration of the school year schedule, weather issues and interaction of the on-site workers with the students and staff needed to be clearly defined early in the project to keep educational facility projects such as this successful.
This was completed in September 2009.
Stevensville 4-8 Grade School
Stevensville, Montana
This project for the Stevensville School system has been a long time coming for the young students of the district. The existing school building for the 4th-8th graders is over 100 years old and beyond what is reasonable for a renovation project. Also included in this project is a new Multi-purpose facility. The new building area is approximately 62,000 square feet in two main facilities.
A school construction bond that was recently approved by the voters of the Elementary School District is funding this project.
This project is in the construction phase with completion of all phases by the start of the 2011-2012 school year.

Montana Harley Davidson
New Facility
Missoula Airport Development Park
This proposed 47,000 square foot motorcycle dealership and service center will be the largest of its kind west of the Mississippi River. This is one of our largest projects to be built in the Missoula Airport Development Park. This facility is spread over an 8 acre site.
The approach to the buildings design is to create an ensemble of structures which recall western agricultural buildings like barns, grain silos and elevators, adapted to functionally house the many diverse activities involved in the motorcycle retails environment.
This project is scheduled to begin construction in the spring of 2004.
Remodel/Addition
3600 South Reserve
University HONDA, one of Montanas largest HONDA Automobile retailers is currently planning on improving their public image as well as improve the total customer satisfaction while purchasing a new HONDA automobile. Working with the HONDA America Corporate design team, Paradigm has produced a total building design that exceeds the goals of the client. Angling the new showroom floor toward the primary street frontage of Reserve and updating the overall elevation, the building has been transformed from its former self. Redesigning the parking and traffic flow as well as incorporating large signage enables the new and repeat client to easily reach their destination. Total customer satisfaction goes beyond purchasing an automobile, University HONDA has made improvements to the automobile service center both for the customers and the personnel. Key improvements include: a new state of the art expansion to the existing service bays, a covered drop-off area, and an area for the businessperson on the go to conduct business while waiting for their car. Not forgetting that many purchases are family based, University HONDA has created a childrens play area so that everyone can have a more enjoyable experience while making their new or used automotive purchase.
University HONDA is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2004.
The University of Montana
This project involved multiple project elements designed to not only update the appearance of the Third Floor of the University Center but also to improve the uses of the space and address critical life safety issues.
The design for the addition portion of the project included 7 new meeting rooms totaling over 5,000 square feet with an adjacent foyer for gathering. The meeting rooms are of various size, design and layout to facilitate different uses. The addition also created space for the catering facilities use. It allows for more efficient storage of equipment and supplies and includes an office for catering coordination and planning.
The renovation project included updating the ballroom and adjacent foyer, new wall and floor coverings, new bathroom facilities, additional exit routes and corridors. The addition of a 288-seat movie theater, in the previous meeting room space, along with a ticket counter and concession counter makes the third floor a popular place for students and staff.
This project was completed in April 2000.
This project is a $2,000,000 addition and renovation of the historic campus theater at the University of Montana. The renovation work includes mechanical / electrical upgrades, asbestos abatement, seating refurbishment, code compliance work, and interior finish upgrades.
The addition includes expansion of the lobby, restrooms, ramps for accessibility, and stage support areas. The sensitive nature of the project required State historic review and multiple committee reviews to help shape the design.
This project was completed in the Fall of 1997.
Ricks Auto Body is a 20,585 square foot, state of the art auto body repair and paint shop. The owner, Rick Booth, decided to relocate his business to Broadway Avenue, a main arterial in the City of Missoula. Therefore he wanted an architecturally significant design with the economy of an engineered metal building to house the body and paint shop space. Paradigm v2.0 P.C. designed the 2,500 s.f. Office and Drive-through Estimating areas with a pleasing and architecturally significant facade suited to the owners taste, which coordinates with the mass of the shop spaces. The Body Shop includes individual service bays with an innovative drive-through bay for efficiently servicing minor repairs. The Finish Shop houses two technologically advanced paint spray booths. The project was completed the Spring of 2003.
